Reveal your Identity with Traditional Indian Saree

Like a diamond is forever and never fades in bringing the aura of women to presence. A saree is the most significant form of Indian clothing which not only unfolds the beauty of women, but also represents her distinct identity. Although a saree is just a simple piece of unstitched garment, what really makes the attire beautiful? Is the unique style of draping the garment across the body paired with a blouse or short top over a petticoat or a skirt made from various kinds of fabrics.

Design
Traditionally a saree is 9 yards or 6 yards. Depending on the length accordingly it is customized with accessories like traditional jewelry- bangles, necklaces etc. Also some of the sarees are self printed, block printed or distinct designs or artistic patterns of varied kinds are stitched on them. Apart from the printing or the design of the saree, the border has prime importance as every style and artwork is often manually done or on specialized printing machines to create a unique combination that blends creativity with vibrant colors.

Materials
All over India as saree is the traditional garment worn by women primarily depending on the so here is a wide range of fabrics used like Silk, Raw Silk, Cotton, Polyester, Chiffon and various other kinds. Some materials although simple cotton by the distinct flavor of traditional design is added by block printing or hand painting patterns representing vibrant cultural diversity or art forms.

Types of Sarees

·       Banarasi:  Manufactured in the vibrant city of Banaras also popular as Varanasi located along the banks of the holy Ganges in Uttar Pradesh. This variety is popular for bridal wear as the sarees have royal elements like the traditional prints. Inspired from Persian Mughal art forms these sarees have gold and silver thread weavings blended with finest zari or resham thread. Mostly Banarasi sarees are blended with jute, silk in vibrant colors like red which are worked heavily by hand embroidery.

·       Bandhani: Influenced from the simple dot and block printing Bandhani sarees or signify the cultural heritage of Rajasthan and Gujarat. Popular with a shimmering look these sarees are popularly blends of Cotton, Georgette. The peculiar colors that charm are red, pink, green, brown as the traditional design is blended well in white color mostly.

Designer sarees are popular in India as along with the perfection they have their own uniqueness as every designer envisions a different variation. Some of the elite Indian designers which also display wide range of sarees and Indian wear.
